Online Learning Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Are online courses available for credit?
A: No, these online classes are all offered for noncredit. These courses are intended for students who want to gain general knowledge, learn a new skill, or upgrade existing skills. Upon completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion. However, these courses are not applicable toward a degree. The online courses offered by LERN, ed2go and Center for Legal Studies (CLS) in partnership with Continuing Education are independent of the college's accredited professional programs.

Q: Can I get Financial Aid?
A: No. Federal Financial Aid is not available for noncredit classes. Students are responsible for paying tuition at the time of registration. Financial Aid is available for credit programs offered by the college for students who qualify.

Q: How do I register for an online course?
A: You will register directly with the provider (LERN, ed2go, CLS, MindEdge). You will be emailed a login to access your online course.

Q: How do I get my Certificate of Completion?
A: For LERN and ed2go classes, you will be able to print your certificate upon completion of your course. For the ed2go Career Training Programs and Center for Legal Studies courses, a certificate will be mailed to you from Continuing Education within 30 days after you complete your course.
