Wendy has been writing stories for the screen since she was a little girl when she penned her own teleplays based on the hit series Gunsmoke. She has studied screenwriting at Linn Benton Community College in Corvallis, OR and the University of Washington, achieved the challenge of Script Frenzy twice, taken part in National Novel Writing Month four times, and participated in workshops with professional screenwriters like Michael Hauge, Christopher Vogler and Aaron Sorkin. As an editor, Wendy has worked with East Salem News, the Alsea Valley Voice, Your Family Magazine, and several newsletters for nonprofit organizations. Always seeking to improve her storytelling skills, Wendy has taken a masterclass.com course with James Patterson, as well as novel writing courses with Long Ridge Writer's Group, Institute of Children's Literature and Writer's Digest School.
