Liz Duarte

Liz Duarte has a Master’s degree in Ceramics from The George Washington University. She was a resident artist at Pottery Northwest from 2006-2008 and is an active member of the Washington Clay Arts Association, an organization dedicated to promoting education of the ceramic arts. She is currently advisor for the Mudslingers, an official clay club on campus, and also works as the ceramics technician for the Ceramics department at North. Liz creates both sculptural and functional forms out of her basement studio in Columbia City. She has been immersed in clay for the past 17 years because she finds it engaging on so many levels; whether it's for recreation, relaxation, therapy, or pure necessity, the clay is captivating!
