D’Andre serves in the inaugural role of Associate Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at North Seattle College. Prior to this position, D’Andre served as the Special Assistant to the Vice President and Director of Operations in the Office of University Community (Diversity and Inclusion Office), at the University of Oklahoma. D’Andre believes that education is a human rights issue—it is transformative, and should be used as a tool for societal change and for the improvement of the quality of life for all citizens. He advances this philosophy in his daily work as well as community service and by maintaining an ally role for the following communities; LGBTQA, DACA, marginalized and underrepresented groups, first-generation students, men of color and women of color in STEM, religious freedom, persons with disabilities and veterans.
