Marci Asher

Marci Asher

Marci was born and raised in a small town in Indiana. She was the first in her family to attend secondary college, and the only one in her family with a Master's Degree. Her first job after completing her Bachelor's Degree was as the Executive Director of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra in Richmond, Indiana. Marci went on to start her Master's Degree, switching jobs to focus on Development and Marketing at a larger organization. She then wanted to work for an organization that focused on marginalized communities which is what brought her to Seattle. Marci came here to work for a grass roots organization which ended in 2018. She now works for The Arc of King County who has a focus on individuals with developmental disabilities. Marci has been a part of the arts community and the civil rights movement in both of the communities she has lived in. In addition to her work at a non-profit, Marci enjoys volunteering.
