Richard Farr

Richard Farr grew up in England, has a Ph.D. in philosophy from Cornell, taught on the philosophy faculty at Colgate University and the University of Hawaii, ran his own corporate communications business for ten years, and has been a full time writer since 2008. His first book, Emperors of the Ice, is about Antarctic exploration; it was a National Science Teachers Association Best Book of the Year, and won a Washington State Book Award. More recently, he is the author of a science fiction series with a philosophical twist: The Fire SeekersGhosts in the Machine, and Infinity’s Illusion—collectively The Babel Trilogy.
