Mariko Navin

As coach and facilitator, Mariko is committed to helping individuals clarify, pursue and achieve the important and meaningful desires of their lives.  She sees life transitions and challenges as opportunities for personal growth and new possibilities. In her own life, she began a mindfulness practice some 15 years ago to cope with the demands of life, juggling career, family life, parenting and extensive eldercare. She combines the benefits of this experience with her professional training to create a unique offering of support for others.

Mariko founded Questte, her coaching practice, after concluding a 30-year career in higher education and retiring from the University of Washington in 2019. In addition to her background and training in academic and career counseling, she is also a certified facilitator for Dependable StrengthsTM (a strength-based approach coaching and guidance), and a licensed facilitator for Immunity to ChangeTM (an approach developed by Harvard professors Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey for overcoming change challenges). She is currently in progress with the Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) program, and expects to be certified in 2020.
