Mariko Navin has had a long-standing interest in adult learning and development, particularly in how people change and manage life transitions. Trained as an academic and career counselor, she has 30 years experience working with people in transition. In addition to her master’s degree from the University of Washington, Mariko is a certified as a Dependable Strengths facilitator and a licensed Immunity to Change™facilitator and coach. (Developed by Harvard faculty Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey, Immunity to Change™is an innovative approach to personal development and transformative change that helps to reveal and overturn hidden barriers to change.) In her fifties, Mariko founded New Encores (www.newencores.com) to help older adults identify and act on "what matters" next in their lives. Her passion is helping people to flourish and thrive throughout life by finding what’s important and what matters and to forge a way forward for personal success and renewal.
