Watercolors for Everyone

Visual Arts

Those with little or no experience with watercolor will appreciate this unique take on the fundamentals starting with basic materials of paper, brushes and pigments followed by a solid grounding in techniques like laying washes, composition and color.  Students will also gain insight into overglazing, lifting out, staining and granulation.  Class sessions involve simple still life set ups in a relaxed studio atmosphere.  Bring any watercolor supplies like brushes, paint and paper to the first class.  See the supply list for suggested colors and paper. Intermediate students are welcome as the instructor works with each student at their own level of experience. Water containers and paper towels are provided. Click here for supply list.

Students who take this class are invited to participate in our Summer CE Student Art Show. Learn more here.
