Watercolors for Everyone

This exciting, popular 8-week class offers complete beginners and intermediate students an energized, interactive and in-depth introduction to watercolor painting. The structured approach breaks down many of the elements of watercolor in an effort to enable students to approach an understanding of the materials, composition and effects of colors in their painting. The instructor will focus on the individual student's level of experience to enable them to gain the tools and abilities to discover their own personal style. Class time will be spent painting still life objects inspired by English and French painters. This is a fun and relaxed class and one of the best introduction courses in Seattle. Susan creates a relaxed and non-judgmental atmosphere to explore watercolor painting and to develop your skills. As someone new to painting, and who hasn't had an art class in 30 years, I really appreciated her encouragement, her ability to find something positive to say about each painting while at the same time offering constructive advice on ways to improve the various elements or composition. I learned a lot in class and look forward to taking more classes with her in the future.
