The Roots of American Jazz

Jazz: truly America's art form. Gain a broader understanding of jazz genres and historical icons from a musician who's worked with many of the greats in venues all over the world. We'll start with very early jazz and consider its growth into an iconic American cultural phenomenon that spread internationally. Then after World War II jazz expanded and changed. Learn about the new genres, where they came from and who's performing them now.
