Phlebotomy: Basic Blood Collection Techniques

This program is designed as a complimentary course for healthcare students who wish to learn basic blood collection skills and for practitioners who are responsible for blood or specimen collections. It consists of laboratory training by professional laboratory personnel and develops skills for basic blood drawing, whether for healthcare professionals or those wishing to learn phlebotomy skills as a complement to additional laboratory training. This program requires independent learning and does not include an externship. Initial 2-hour Zoom class on 10/9, 9:00-11:00am, presents preparatory material.A $50 (approximately) materials fee is due to the instructor in class. Group training can be arranged. Doug was very enthusiastic about blood collection. Made learning how to draw blood less nerve wracking and simple to do. He did a good job making sure we were all prepared before we left class. Overall amazing and funny teacher.
