Neuroscience and Emotion Regulation

Have you ever wondered about the nature of our emotions? Do you or others you know struggle to manage your/their emotional life? This engaging and interactive course will help care providers understand multiple aspects of Emotion Regulation, with an emphasis on the implications of neuroscience. Participants will learn new, whole-body approaches to treat these complex issues. We will explore brain basics, multiple aspects of emotions, emotion identification, and gain greater understanding of how memory and learning work. Most especially, we understand how the knowledge of neuroscience helps to reduce shame and anxiety. Counselors and Social Workers: This course grants up to 9 CEUs.
