French II: Critical Thinking Skills and Creative Self-Expression

For French learners of all levels eager to expand their speaking skills and reinforce their language usage and terminology. Each course will hinge on a language lesson and topical exploration. The language lesson will consist of a verb tense review or the use of comparisons, while the topical exploration will include expressing a preference or an opinion of a subject and supporting it. We’ll entertain topics of interest suggested by class members and instructor, alike. Group participation will play an important role in how we learn together. Prerequisites: French I, French I: Encore! or equivalent. See for textbook information.

Our French class consisted of students such as myself with very little background in the language and some students who are already quite accomplished. I particularly like the way our teacher, Louise Morehead, could get all of us involved and using French to the best of our abilities.
