Beginning Guitar 3

Learn guitar position playing for moveable scales and chord forms. Explore some music theory to transpose and play chord progressions in different keys. Be introduced to different types of seventh chords along with continued work with bass lines. Basic improvisation using the major scale is explored and songs you study will be used to apply the learned technique. Prerequisite: Beginning Guitar 2 or equal knowledge. Must know and identify in notation all notes in open position and be familiar with major and minor chords along with dominant 7th chords in open position and be comfortable with strumming and have a little theory background. A $10 materials fee is due to instructor on the first day of class.
