American History and Culture through Film

Can you really substitute an English textbook with watching movies? The answer is “Yes!” In this integrated skills course, intermediate and advanced English learners will be provided the opportunity to practice a range of language skills: listening and speaking, reading and vocabulary, presentation and writing. Homework assignments will consist of viewing award-winning American documentary or feature films which will be discussed in class.
